Laveen Homes for Sale

Where and what is Laveen Arizona?

To begin with, where is Laveen Arizona located, and why would you want to live in Laveen?  Well, simple enough, Laveen is in South West Phoenix and has a great location.  Laveen covers about 48 square miles in the South West Phoenix area.  It runs from about 27th Ave to 75th Ave, and from the South Mountain preserve to the rio salado river bed on the North.

Till the early 2000's, Laveen had been a very rural community, which included several daries and even farms.  With the housing boom that began in the early 2000's, many of the area farmers sold off land and of course builders came in and started to build.  Some of the first communities to be built were River Walk, which is located at about 51st Ave and Southern, and later Country Glen at about 43rd ave and Baseline Rd.

At this point, there has been several other subdivisions that have been built, yet Laveen does maintain a rural feel throughout many areas.  We continue to have horse property at different point of Laveen, and one can often see folks riding horses late afternoons or weekends.  We also still have to my knowledge at this time, one dairy still going strong.

Laveen had originally started with just one school.  At this point the Laveen elementary school district counts with 8 schools which form part of the school system.

Why live in Laveen?  To me it about location, proximity to all that I need, and also the rural feel.  Laveen is a rural community, with many home options that is only about 20 minutes driving via surface streets to the downtown area.  With the new 202 freeway coming in, we will gain even easier access to all area of the valley.  Oh, and bang for the buck, you can get a lot more home for the money compared to many other areas of the valley of the sun.

Laveen offers many things that all home owners would want.  Laveen counts with many retail shopping choices, so for many things you will NOT have to leave the community.  Laveen counts with:  Walmart, Fry's, Safeway, Auto parts sales, tire shops, HomeDepot, and much more.

Dining in Laveen as well, there are several options, though they do lean toward bar food and fast food at this point.  My thought is the highway will likely bring in more choices, along with a mini mall of sorts and the possibility of a movie theatre is being discussed.

About this Laveen Real Estate agent

My real estate career started in a full time capacity back in 2004.  I started with a company that was not too well known at the time, Keller WIlliams.  Fantastic company for a newer agent in my opinion, and it really set me on the right track for learning and taking care of my clients.
